Hey Angela! I have won a couple of sweepstakes, but that was years ago. Surveys are pretty saturated with people, so it’s more harder to win them nowadays. You’re better off completing surveys that offers money, points, and product testing.
That is a great tip to show you actually own the product! As for tips on taking better product photography, I would say not to worry about it. The pictures should look natural and from your point of view. If they start to look too good or staged, a person could think they are not from a real person but from the company themselves.
I now want to include the first email, as it doesn’t contain the same sort of errors. Which to me, says that I received a form email that has been prepared for employees to send to potential reviewers. And the reply was from the employee and was typed uniquely. Overall, that makes me feel better about it, but I still appreciate your feedback.
Additionally, reviewers may give their opinions on items for which they have no expertise or real experience and therefore have no frame of reference about how well something works by comparison. It’s hard to say how good something is if you don’t know what else is out there.
Requesting and publishing customer reviews in an essential, ongoing part of doing business online. Using the steps listed here can convince shoppers that you’re trustworthy and have great products. They can also inspire other customers to share their thoughts about the products you sell.
Write your message. You can say something like “Hi, my name is XXXX. I really enjoy doing product reviews for seller’s and I would be happy to provide an honest review in exchange for a free product. Here’s a link to my Amazon profile (your link goes here) and here are a few reviews I’ve recently done (include the permalink to the reviews, if you have any).”
The sole exception to this rule is when a free or discounted copy of a physical product is provided to a customer up front. In this case, if you offer a free or discounted product in exchange for a review, you must clearly state that you welcome both positive and negative feedback. If you receive a free or discounted product in exchange for your review, you must clearly and conspicuously disclose that fact. Reviews from the Amazon Vine program are already labeled, so additional disclosure is not necessary. Read more about promotional content.
Message: In this email, you focus on making sure the customer got the product in good condition while looking to see they don’t have any problems with it. This can help you reduce the number of negative reviews you get for your products.
Influenster: Influenster is looking for social media influencers to spread the word about products that range anywhere from single cup coffee makers to the newest cosmetics. You can get one item to review or a box of products to review.
I have used over 25 codes and all have gone through for me. You have to open the unberclub email asap to still have codes available that work and aren’t sold out. Good luck ladies. I would say 1 in 10 codes don’t work by time I get the item into my inbox.
This is my favorite page on the web! I have it bookmarked. Thank you so much for all of this information. I have linked up your page on my site so other freebie lovers can check it out for themselves as well. I sent you an email too. Showing some love from http://enjoyfreebies.com ☺
You know that review site we have all been looking for? The one that has a close relationship with reviewers and offers high end products for review? Yeah? Well, after talking with the owner, it sounds like Review Directory is that review site! Available to product testers and bloggers in the UK, USA, France, germany, Canada, Israel, Spain, and Italy.
However, with this new situation, many brands should start to reconsider this, since it’s the only way to get incentivized reviews when launching new products. Brands with better cash flow won’t be affected by this, but smaller brands will. This does nothing but increase the barrier of entry to anyone who wants to launch a new product in the Amazon ecosystem.
Thrilled to see a new update. I’m considering the upgrade to the LG OLED, but the price for the 65″ model is a bit daunting. Given my room size (small), the 55″ is an option. I recall in the previous incarnation of this article there were some concerns about display quality / panel in the 55″ Vizio P-series sets vs. the 65″ ones, such that you weren’t able to recommend the smaller TVs even though the 65″+ models were excellent.
If you’re like me and do get an opportunity to become a Professional Reviewer TRY to remain honest with the people. If you review NEW Product that’s, “NOT YET READY FOR PRIME TIME.” say so. Both the manufacturers and the customers will be grateful for your honesty. Remember Manufacturers LEARN from their mistakes while customers PAY for theirs.
What I hate is when the public assumes that you give something 5 stars you are a ‘FAKE.’ One thing that needs to be made clear is that a FAKE reviewer, as used in the lawsuits, involved people that were taking money and NEVER SEEING an item, just writing whatever the vendor told them to write! Realize not everyone has the same working definition of “FAKE.” Fake is not the same as compensated or commissioned.
Hey i was wondering if there are any companies that need international testers. I am from India and I’ve searched everywhere but there aren’t any companies that have such a program here and all the international ones have localised their program to UK and US. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!

That is a conundrum for sure, and I think Tristan gives a good resolution idea as usual. Considering the problems existing for reveiwers, both those our peers have brought on us, and those sellers bring on us; I’ve concluded that to ever type, like, or in any way give a review or a like for something I didn’t try isn’t acceptable.
I Love to Review (UK) is the sister site to the original USA version. I feel they are the most professional and well-run review site I have ever worked with. They even have an automated review checker so you don’t have to post them to your ILTR account! Only for reviewers in the UK.
Paid Reviews – We do not permit reviews or votes on the helpfulness of reviews that are posted in exchange for compensation of any kind, including payment (whether in the form of money or gift certificates), bonus content, entry to a contest or sweepstakes, discounts on future purchases, extra product, or other gifts.
try the new site out ReviewMyItem I’ve had very good luck with their offers. there are not too many a week, but when they do send them out they are usually very good offers. I have prime so its great for me
I’ve not, but thanks for the information. It seems to me the best, and most unbiased, straight-forward way to become a reviewer is just as Tristan has described. I’ve always reviewed my products, and admittedly many of mine are very good (I do a TON of research in advance of virtually any purchase, and am happy to report that is the primary reason for so many four star and higher reviews).
Take a look through the list of Amazon’s top reviewers, and create a spreadsheet where you can start logging info about your potential reviewers. You are looking for reviewers who have already reviewed books in your genre, and once you’ve found them, any additional information you can grab about them, including email addresses, and any personal interests.
4. Reach out to users who reviewed similar products. You can find users who have reviewed products similar to yours (even your competitor’s products) by visiting your product page, going to “Customers Who Bought This Item Also Bought” and “Customers Who Viewed This Item Also Viewed.” These are your competitors, and you could do well simply taking note of them and reading their reviews (paying attention to what they do well and what they fail at), and even checking out their website.
I turned to two sites, Fakespot and ReviewMeta, which use publicly available review metadata and algorithms to try to suss out which reviews are “unreliable” or “unnatural.” The Samcable listing with 673 total reviews got a grade of F from Fakespot, with it declaring that 100 percent of the reviews were “low-quality.” After discarding what its algorithm determined were untrustworthy reviews, it adjusted that 4.6 average rating down to a 0.0 rating. ReviewMeta wasn’t much kinder. The highly rated Samcables went from an average review score of 4.6 to 1.1 using ReviewMeta’s criteria, deeming only 81 reviews out of the 673 not unnatural in some way.
No argument there! I only found it recently, when I was looking at stereo equipment, and trying to get things that were only the specific item, so I took to clicking on all the things trying to find a filter.
I think Amazon should take this review devaluing more seriously! And maybe a few rounds of region-based boycott’s would help them take notice? Instead they dink around w/ taking or giving Prime Benefits or spin off more fee based memberships with new names! Aye! BTW, has anyone made a Hitler reaction video yet?
No. We welcome honest opinion about the product – positive or negative. Of course Vine reviews must conform to all our posting guidelines. Customers can vote on the helpfulness of Vine reviews just like they can for any other review.
Compared to the earlier one, this Honest Society function more as an online community, where members are encouraged to offer their honest and unbiased opinions. The products featured on the review list can be quite a mixed bag, ranging from electronics to audio, to cosmetics. In return, you get the stuff free or at a 90% discount.
