After initially debuting as an invite-only beta-gadget for $99 (I was one of the lucky ones who bought in at that price), the Amazon Echo now retails for nearly twice that: $180. That price seemed fair to me when the Echo was a shiny, new curiosity, but I’m not sure that’s still the now that the Alexa lineup — and the competition — has matured. Take the Echo Dot: It’s just as smart and as capable as the full-sized Echo at less than a third of the cost, and unlike the original Echo, you can connect it with the external speakers of your choice. It seems like the best Alexa starting point by a considerable margin. And though it’s still playing catch-up, the well-reviewed Google Home smart speaker costs just $130.

They have a huge marketplace supporting reviewers in 12 countries. And a contest they run each week giving away a $25 voucher. Available for reviewers in USA, UK, France, Canada, Germany, Italy, Spain, Brazil, Japan, India, Mexico, China.

It is a simple process that works, and here is an overview of the steps you need to take. If you want the exact details (including e-mails to copy and paste) you can read my Unlimited Amazon Reviews article that I posted to my own site.

As for the second criteria – Amazon looks for your interest and expertise in specific product categories. Anecdotal evidence shows that sticking to one product category, and becoming a recognized and helpful expert in that field gives you a better chance of becoming a Vine member.

“Before I begin my review on this product, let me set the record straight on something. NewEgg DOES NOT PAY their Eggxpert Reviewers ANY MONEY for a review (GOOD OR BAD – ON ANY PRODUCT)!!! When they 1st asked me to become a reviewer, they told me that I could post ANY TYPE of review that I wanted to, either GOOD OR BAD! The only thing that they asked me to do was to be honest in my review, which I try to be. Now that this is finished, let’s start…”

— “how is it they are getting these amazing things and the only options I get are little tiny things” I’m not sure what they are getting that is amazing. It takes time before Sellers feel confident enough to ask you to review higher ticket items. You likely will have to slog through reviewing some basic items first. See this blog post about how to write great reviews to help get more/better products in the future. Also, be sure to sign up for these review sites to help increase the choices you get.

I will always write honest reviews and if that means I one day find that I am unable to get products, because I’ve rated too many negatively, then that’s what will happen and I’ll move on. Until then, if I can get a discount solely for writing an honest review, I will do so. I feel absolutely no sense of duty to use kid gloves on any product I get a discount on, because the rules are very clear; the reviews I am writing are to be honest. That is the only thing I owe the company, is an *honest* review.

The Customer Product Reviews screen shows you a list of reviews for that item. The list includes the date of the review, the reviewer name (keep in mind this name can be different from the name the buyer uses to purchase items), the rating, title of the review and the text of the review. The screen also shows you whether or not the review is associated with a verified Amazon purchase.

Just wondering about your last point that you make about contacting the sellers directly. Is it ok and within Amazon’s policy to go directly to the seller and ask for a free/discounted product in exchange for an honest/unbiased review?

They send out weekly emails with product to review. Their ‘recently featured products’ looks impressive. Available for reviewers in the USA (with UK, Germany and Canada coming soon. Email them to be added to the non-USA list.

How much would these companies ding you if you have a few unsavory reviews (which essentially break a bunch of your rules) I doubt there’s anything too obscene and i never used any outright foul language or anything. Would it just make more sense to get a new user name?

I signed up with I Love to Review to get free (and highly discounted) products with the express understanding that I would review it honestly on Amazon within 72 hours. There is also the VIP Power Club I don’t currently know of any others.

Reading reviews for products is invaluable in helping you make an informed decision before buying a product, therefore writing reviews which are helpful are necessary to complete the process ,making the whole purchasing experience more enjoyable and rewarding .I have myself giving numerous reviews hoping to help alleviate the potential pitfalls of products and also to give an honest appraisal .

I haven’t personally used this one, but I have seen other people talk about it. They have a one page website where you simply submit your email address and when they have products available for review you will get an email.

1.      Provide a great consumer experience. The majority of negative reviews involve consumers feeling misled about a product. Be honest about what you’re selling and provide as much accurate, precise information about your product as possible to avoid any confusion or false expectations.

Amazing Deals Group has been around for a bit, and is very active on their Facebook page. They use the marketplace technique, like many other sites do. Log in to select your products. Available to reviewers in USA.
