Product Testing USA is a JOKE! and a SCAM! I mistakenly signed up with them and all I have received is 20+ calls a day from various companies trying to sell me stuff or give me quotes. Yes, they ask you all these questions on if you’re interested in different things and I said NO to each and every one of them – but that doesn’t mean anything. So, my phone is ringing off the hook and the only way to combat it is to answer and let them know I never requested whatever it is they are offering and to tell them to please remove this number from their list. My mistake – Live and Learn – but please save yourself the aggravation and stay away from Product Testing USA.
I have joined and had success with a few of these except EDC Elite Deal Club,, things were ok then I was asked to review products I had not asked for, the customer service was beyond dire. They are now asking for your financial information,,, be aware people- you pay via Amazon not these sites,,, Elite Deal Club has no reason to demand you personal financial information- leave well alone.
Paid surveys is a great way to earn extra money on the side and plus the perks of getting free products and more. Don’t feel discourage and keep completing surveys and you’ll reap the benefits! Let me know if you need any other help.
(4) Now, you should finally be at the screen to register/create and EA account. Clicking “submit” never worked for us, so we clicked on the –> to continue. This is when I nearly lost it, after all this work we find out that “The registration key used to instal this game cannot be validated.” If you click on help with registration it just takes you to a page for password recovery. I also tried to look at the technical support mentioned in the back of the book with the DVD for help. I can get to the main page, but there is no content at all.
Oh I think I am rambling again…sorry, but I think finding this out explained where my down votes had come from and why!!! Its saddening really, I believe everyone has the right to accept products for free in return for a review if that is what they want to do so why certain feel the need to get more and be better than you is beyond me, why would it satisfy them to push that unhelpful button just to ensure their review remains the top rated???? It hasn’t happened again since but I haven’t reviewed the same products as them yet but I am aware of their tactic and will keep an eye on it. I don’t actually know what could be done other than down vote their reviews but I’m not like that and I won’t stoop to that level or get sucked into their petty wee game plus at the end of the day I can’t prove it was them. I have no idea what take Amazon would have on this either if it was happening all the time and started to become an issue?? I remember reading a post from someone who was on the Vine Programme and admitted that those reviewers have formed cliques, the gossip and backstabbing is awful among them and its all very cut throat!! Craaaazy, wouldn’t it be better if they just respected each other and do their reviews rather than get so competitive about it all.. I guess it boils down to some people having the nature of begrudging and do not like someone else getting on or doing better than them and when it comes to receiving free products greed and jealousy gets mixed into the pot also. I have ignored it so far Lynn and just keep my head down and carry on enjoying writing my reviews but yes, looks like we have attracted a little troll or two on our journey!! 🙂
Writing reviews for products you never owned or never used could come back to haunt you if a company, seller or author ever asks you about it. Also, Amazon customers can leave comments and questions on your reviews asking for more information. Responding to these is also helpful for getting free products to review.
Put your reviews front and center. Consider placing a couple reviews right on your homepage. If you have reviews for specific items, publish them on each product page. You can even add an entirely new page dedicated to housing awesome testimonials with a link in your top nav. Just make sure you get them on your site in a way that works for your product. We love how Primal Pit Paste shows off their raving fans on a special section of their website.
Yep you’ll need to find a topic to blog about. You can become a lifestyle blogger and blog about a variety of topics. As for how to get products from companies to review on your blog, in this post at the end is a link that goes to how to become a product review blogger. Once you have a good flow of traffic to your blog you can also start pitching to companies directly. If only survey panels would allow you to blog about the products you test through them but unfortunately these products are top secret and not out on the market yet.
I have noticed another trend of competitors posting fake negative reviews to try and sink new businesses. It works both ways. Best to read the reviews and make your own decision rather than relying on some automated “honesty finding” program.
It all depends on your demographic what companies are looking for. Some people get a lot of product testing invites and some don’t get hardly any. Remember although you’re just getting surveys right now those points you’re making can be cashed in for money, gift cards, and merchandise, so it’s a win-win!
The one thing you have to take note of is that sometimes there are different rules for each specific product, so be sure to read them carefully. For example, instead of leaving a product review, they may require you to write a blog post about it instead.
I have a question about less than glorious reviews. If you are reviewing a product that doesn’t quite measure up or doesn’t do what it claims do you go ahead and post your reviews professionally with pro’s and constructive criticism and suggestions or do you contact them first?
So if you want to be considered, avoid leaving extremely brief reviews. Avoid complaining about something in the product that is clearly stated in the description. Think about the questions you were asking yourself before you took the plunge and ordered that $200 gadget that you knew you didn’t need but really, really wanted.
Sorry for the long post but I just had to come back to let you know about such a positive result I gained from following your advise…thank you so much and if I can be of help to anyone else on this I’d be more than happy to share my experience…I definitely agree that if a seller has followed the link to your Public Profile from one of your reviews this is where I think they decide to contact you or not. If anyone is thinking of trying this then I’d say go for it…I never thought in a million years I’d get this opportunity but this excellent article by Tristan changed all that completely…its a fun and rewarding way to spend some of your spare time! 🙂 Thanks again Tristan!

Amazon Sellers pay these companies to reach out to their email list asking their subscribers if they would like to receive free or deeply discounted product to test. When you show interest in a particular product being offered, that company either:
Toluna is a high ranking panel with members making money every day! I get quite a bit to test with Toluna Panel and the pay is good! When you sign up, click the “Rewards” tab and then click “Test Products” tab. You’ll get product test invites in your email as well. Also Toluna has high paying focus groups with pay of over $100 or more. 💰 Pays by Cash and Gift Cards
yes I have left 1 2 and 3 star reviews many times and I continue to receive products all the time. I rarely give 5 stars because my review was solicited. I feel by giving 4 stars it is helping offset the fact that my review was solicited. But when I do give 5 stars teh product deserves it. I think the only product I gave 5 stars in the past few weeks was for a set of flybar stilts for my son. they really deserve 5 stars.
Oz Naturals is another review site that only sells products for their brand. In this case, you can review skin care products for only a few dollars. This can be a good option for the health-conscious as Oz Naturals only use natural and organic active ingredients.
Many people have heard about the “6-pager” white paper practice. Often I need to write one-pager (high level of a program/project), two-pagers or six-pagers (the “white paper”), PRFAQs etc. They are very helpful for me to organize my thoughts and push me to develop thorough thinking, and to use data, voice of customers etc. to build a strong case. This is a very good practice to improve my personal capability, not just “something I have to do for my job”. Clear/concise/direct communication also works effective and widely acceptable here so that we can all be effective and focus.
Just as you can buy almost anything on Amazon, it is also possible to get almost anything for free or nearly free. Whether you want to join a program with flexible shopping options or only want to join one that offers products for one particular brand, there is an Amazon review site for you.
The Vanguard VIP Product Tester program is looking for photographers to give honest, unbiased feedback and share reviews for their binoculars and spotting scopes, tripods, camera bags, riflescopes and outdoor packs. Available for product testers in USA.
No, the OLEDs are identical across screen sizes. The only difference is that the larger sets can often be brighter, but this is the same with LCDs, and it’s not something you’re really ever going to notice without measurement tools.
There are more popping up all the time, but there are a select few with great reputations that you can be sure will deliver what they promise. After testing a whole range of sites ourselves we have come up with a list of the most trusted product testing sites below.
Hi Tristan! As others have said – THANK YOU for doing this article/blog, especially given the time you have invested in it, when you could have been reviewing a a few freebies during this time instead! 😉
I just started researching this to try out, I have never done this before. My question is I already have an Amazon prime account. Does this mean I have to use the email attached to prime account, or can I start a new email, like you suggested to have a dedicated email, for this review endeavor? Please let me know how I should do this. I rather open up a new email account so it’s separate from the one I use for my kids school, doctors, and personal things. Thank you in advance for your help.
I Love to Review (UK) is the sister site to the original USA version. I feel they are the most professional and well-run review site I have ever worked with. They even have an automated review checker so you don’t have to post them to your ILTR account! Only for reviewers in the UK.
Would love to be a Vine reviewer….I currently help people online at no cost when they encounter a problem with merchandise. I have also solved alot of issues here on Amazon when company’s blame Amazon for selling faulty products. Would love to review products!
The BEST site I have used for taking surveys and being paid for the surveys is called: oneopinion.com. Again, you need 25000 credits to cash out into paypal. Its VERY EASY to get them. Ive already cashed out for OVER $500.00 in 2 1/2months. They DONT charge a fee, wen you cash out, your money IMMEDIATELY goes into your paypal account, and at times, they send you products to test and do a survey on. I JUST received an additional 30.00 for a dog treat survey, on top of the 2500 points for the original survey. So, oneopinion.com is a site I would DEFINITELY recommend
eBay will remove product reviews if they are inappropriate, inaccurate or misplaced/not related to products, including reviews of a seller in the product review. We are monitoring for violations and users may report violations of this policy by clicking the report link in the content in question and the review will be reviewed by eBay and a decision will be made.
Include words in the subject line that signify a financial incentive to leaving a review (like “coupon, win, free, save, sale, and discount”), which have a positive impact, increasing the conversion rate from shoppers to reviewers by 18.5% on average. If you sell more than one product, you could give your customers a discount for another product. This may not be the best strategy in Amazon, as it may be considered a type of incentive, but it’s something to think about.
