I just started doing some Amazon product reviewing. So, thank you for all of this great information about being an Amazon Reviewer. The comments have been a great source of additional information. I even sent a company to this blog address to read this so they could have a better understanding from the Amazon seller side. Now I need to go research ILoveToReview.com
Still, it’s not likely that merchants are going to stop trying to game the system. More is at stake than ever before: The National Retail Federation expects online sales to jump as much as 10 percent to $117 billion this holiday season.
For Amazon Resellers: First examine the issues the buyer had – can the problem be remedied? Consider offering refund or replacement. Buyers can remove for up to 60 days after a review is posted, so there’s usually a chance of redemption.
I actually think the worst part is when Vine people get items they wouldn’t normally purchase, didn’t really want and don’t know how to use and therefore end up giving a good item poor marks because they don’t understand it. e.g., a great gaming headset getting mediocre reviews from people who clearly are not gamers and never mentioned most of the device’s features (macros, microphone, equalizer, etc).
Just thought in case there are some honest folks around this might be useful to know. As someone that broke into the Top 100 on the Amazon Review rankings I stopped reviewing on Amazon (unless I actually buy the item) as of that change of policy.
I have joined and had success with a few of these except EDC Elite Deal Club,, things were ok then I was asked to review products I had not asked for, the customer service was beyond dire. They are now asking for your financial information,,, be aware people- you pay via Amazon not these sites,,, Elite Deal Club has no reason to demand you personal financial information- leave well alone.
I would love to participate in you review program of merchandise. I am a federal retiree and can go out of my way when reviewing merchandise. I am aware of your rules and honesty is a strong word in my vocabulary. If I am picked for this program, I will not let you down.
Since leaving a review is optional, you can also buy credits for $1 if you do not wish to leave a review or want to supplement your credit balance after leaving a review. You can also earn credits by referring friends to join Dollar Deal Reviews.
Amazon says: “Be sincere: We welcome your honest opinion about the product or service. We do not remove reviews because they are critical. We believe all helpful information can inform our customers’ buying decisions.” Source.
I would also add as review source the professional reviewers communities. You can find them on giveaway websites or on facebook groups. I use their service and some of them write really good reviews, detailed and documented with photos or video.
I’m inclined to agree with you. Fakespot gave the Amazon page below an “A”, but all 17 reviews are “Verified purchases” by common named people giving generic praise and all but one have 5 stars – most are written within weeks of each other. Now, this product may very well be that good, but doesn’t any of that strike someone as pretty suspicious?
It’s more complicated than that. Amazon doesn’t ship everything themselves, so you have to deal with shipping from potentially multiple marketplace sellers. You can post feedback about that in the seller feedback, but I doubt many people read that.
FeedbackFive is an automation tool with a purpose – to solicit feedback. This doesn’t mean, however, that the interaction can’t feel warm and personal while accomplishing that goal. In fact, you’re more likely to actually get a response if you do more than send a standard, plain-vanilla message.
So yes, I’m sure some reviewers – like you – may very well be able to get to the heart of a product despite getting it for free or for very little-but I would imagine that many don’t take it that seriously or even realize how the process affects their reviews. Or there are others that will not bite the hand that feeds them.
Understand how to properly write a quality review. Each review should provide information that is descriptive and helpful to someone interested in buying the product. Aim for (at minimum) 75 words and use complete sentences. Be sure to include the appropriate disclaimer: “I received this product for free in exchange for an honest and unbiased review.” OR “I received this product at a discount in exchange for an honest and unbiased review.” If you want more tips on writing great reviews straight from Amazon, go HERE .
I’ve been reviewing a lot through sample programs. I’ve specialized in one area (beauty products) and now I’d like to contact some sellers about products I’d like to review. Some of them have even done Vine promotions so it looks like they may be receptive. It’s REALLY difficult to contact a seller that you haven’t already ordered from. Do you know how to reach them?
For the sake of our Amazon review-centered discussion, simply click for the “customer reviews” link and sort by newest reviews. Click the reviewer’s name for their details. If they provide contact info connected with their profile, you’re in luck! Send an e-mail. If only a name shows up, try contacting them on another social network like Twitter or Facebook.
Still, the problem remained: How could I make sure I wasn’t caught stuck on an airplane again without a dongle for a pair of earbuds? After digging around further, I ended up settling on something a bit more mundane than buying a three-pack of dongles of dubious quality. My search led me to the (unfortunately named) Dongle Dangler, which lets me stick my Lightning dongle on my key chain.
