Not necessarily. Just becouse a site asks for your information, doesn’t make them legit or a scam. That said, Product Report Card is more of a survey and reward site than a product testing company. You can earn a little side money taking surveys and completing offers. It’s a legitimate site, but as always, you have to be realistic. It won’t replace your day job. Just a fun way to earn a few dollars in your free time.
The problem can be solved if AmzRC allowed the sellers to screen the reviewers, like most other review clubs do. But when I brought the matter up, Andy, the owner of the club, acknowledged the problem and said he will not change his policy. In other words, “I know I am facilitating theft of your product but I could not care less.”

You’d be surprised but as with most things online, being a top Amazon reviewer doesn’t come without risks. One Amazon reviewer reportedly gets regular hate mail, among them death threats. Other Vine reviewers say their reviews get negative feedback just because of their Vine badge. Savvy shoppers almost never purchase a product without knowing how it’s going to work for them. They read the good, the not-so-good, and the downright ugly to make the all-important decision: should I pull out my wallet and take the plunge?
I used to review products which I sometimes received for free, and my wife has been on a kick lately with these websites which specialize in selling deeply discounted products in exchange for a promise to review it.
This is why a responsible reviewer sets aside time each day or week to update reviews. I do mine weekly. If, during the week, I notice a product has failed to perform, has performed better than I thought initially, or has some feature that I’ve just discovered, I go back and update. Products have gone from five stars to one, and from two to four. Each time, I leave my original review, and amend it to add my new thoughts or findings.
Thank you very much for this post, as obviously your advice was crucial and as a result of taking it, I’m hopefully now about to review my first product as an official “reviewer!” I say “hopefully,” because I’ve not yet received a reply to my acceptance of the offer.
What aspects of the Rxvoit headphones’ reviews felt funny to us? Well, first of all, we noticed that a lot of the positive reviews happened within a few days of each other. That indicates to us that people made a push for reviews to happen on a timeline.
Typically reviewers are invited to conduct a review by a journal or books editor. Editors usually select researchers that are experts in the same subject area as the paper. However, if you think you would be a good reviewer for a specific journal you can always contact one of the journal’s editors.
An avid fan of the original E.V.O. Search For Eden, Spore is a wonderful game, that just doesn’t work well for later models of Windows unfortunately. Despite filtering through forums for solutions, nothing ever let me play this game again.
Stay away from UberZon Club. Signed up and have not snagged any type of deal from them. Plus if you don’t have Amazon Prime, then the so called discount price is not much of a discount when shipping & tax is added. Was a member for over a year and have not purchased one item. Plus, I have noticed that a lot of reviews on Amazon now are from people who received free products or products for a discount. The majority give great reviews (4 or 5 stars) rarely do I see a negative review for a product that was free or offered for a discount. Wonder why that it, as a buyer it makes me skeptical about purchasing a product that practically everyone else received for free or a discounted price, especially if I have to pay full price along with shipping & taxes. Usually don’t purchase these products because I don’t trust the reviews. Have noticed a lot of these types of reviews lately. Don’t really know if Amazon is okay with this or not, but I think it is something that needs to be looked at.
Personally, my favorite reviewers are the Vine reviewers that are also top reviewers. I love it when they mention other products in the same category they have used, and state what the advantages are. It’s nice to have a group of people out there that have tried 6 different brands of (vacuum, printer, slowcooker, router, dishtowel) in 2 years and can help you make a good decision or answer questions on items that are just hitting the market.
With survey panels, make sure you fill out your profile so companies know what type of demographic you are. Surveys will tell you if you’re invited to test a product. The more paid surveys you do, the more product test surveys you’ll start receiving.
Just FYI-ing here but I agree with Kim I have tried Uberzon over the past month ans the same thing, Don’t know if Kim noticed but they were doing a thing for hyperallergenic bed covers in all sizes, My daughter and I both have year round allergies so I was so excited to try this, and when I used the link it said coupon invalid, but when I went to the amazon link provided it clearly said how many were available in each size and there were plenty, so that was kind of a sour taste left behind, and elitedeals, click on the e-mail link and scroll everything is sold out. Like I said not complaining just FYI-ing for any newbies, but I did see a lot of new ones on this updated list and TY so much, I signed up for them all, I will weed out the junkies and get back to everyone 🙂
I was wondering………. how do you get to leave a “verified” review without paying for the product first. I thought I could give potential reviewers an Amazon Gift Card to the value of…. or perhaps there is another way? Maybe you just leave unverified reviews?
I will add, in my experience with Grammarly, and why I advocate it and it stood out. It catches many words that aren’t misspelled, but are in the wrong context. For example, a couple lines above I accidentally typed “doesn’t out much,” where in haste I typed out instead of “put.” I would proofread it when I finish (my father taught me to proofread by reading each word from the bottom up, right to left as it makes you slow down and pay closer attention…tedious but handy) but before I got a sentence away Grammarly identified it and pointed it out to me, and a quick mouse click later it’s fixed. Which can shortens my prof dreading later.
One other thing to look out for is reviews for the wrong product. A terrible thing that Amazon has done is allows sellers to list multiple unrelated products under one listing so you don’t even know what you are reading a review for. This function was supposed to be used to allow listing of variations of the exact same product like color, size, etc…, but now is being widely abused to list totally different items for the sake of reviews and price-based search results. For example, someone might sell a camera flash and a tripod and full studio kit all under one listing. When you read the reviews, you see a bunch of people raving about how great the product was and you assume it is for the flash you are looking at, but they are all really for the tripod and the one flash review was bad. I have reported this and Amazon simply does not care.
I have joined and had success with a few of these except EDC Elite Deal Club,, things were ok then I was asked to review products I had not asked for, the customer service was beyond dire. They are now asking for your financial information,,, be aware people- you pay via Amazon not these sites,,, Elite Deal Club has no reason to demand you personal financial information- leave well alone.
If you do decide to sign up for more than just one or two sites, then I’d suggest you register a new email address just Amazon review sites. That way you can keep everything in one place and make it easier and faster for you to check for new opportunities, instead of having to weed through tons of other personal emails to find emails from review sites.
Most review sites allow the sellers to check out the viewers and approve or disapprove them. I have made a database of the reviewers and make sure I do not send two coupons for the same product to the same person. Most sellers on Amazon are struggling and thefts like this can bring us down completely. I have nothing personal against AmzRC and its owner Andy, but unfortunately he is facilitating this theft and is not willing to rectify it. I just want to warn other sellers before they get burned like me. Andy does not care. Amazon does not care. It is your responsibility to care about yourself.
Finally, this game can be played w/o an Internet connection. This is what my daughter asked to do in the car (no Internet connection) each afternoon while we drive home after summer daycamp (her reward for straight A’s & A+’s last year :-). So we know it works.
Hello, this is a very interesting article! Thank you for the information. I am not a seller but am a reviewer. I get contacted by companies to purchase their product at 99% off or at an even higher discount in exchange for an honest review of their product. I feel this is a great way for people like me to point out the best parts of the product (even the parts that aren’t so great) and help the buyer make the right decision when purchasing the product through reviews. Thank you for the information again and i just wish there were a website reviewers could go to to contact sellers who need people to Leave an honest review of their products.. Any recommendations??
Yes these websites are safe. I would never add any fraudulent sites on my blog. These are survey panels I currently use to have opportunities to test products at home. There is no commitment so you can quit anytime by unsubscribing.
I cannot get the HP z27 to work with my Mac Air or Mac mini. What gives? This thing comes with three cables, none of them, including the displayport to display port mini cable, work. Getting fed up and am about to return this heap.
It wasn’t hard finding cheap dongle deals on Amazon. The problem was the huge variance in the reviews — often for ostensibly the exact same product. It’s an issue I’d noticed plenty of times while hunting for cheap electronics on Amazon, but I couldn’t stop trying to figure out the rhyme or reason behind it all.
The reason why companies has surveys because they need to know your opinion about the product before it hit stores. They do not want to blindly send their products to stores without knowing what consumers think about it to avoid losing money if it doesn’t sell.
DooYoo is a website where you are paid to write reviews that can help others make decisions about buying a product. You simply write reviews on products and services you have used, sharing your experience with others who might be interested in buying the same product or services as well. Each time you write a review on any product or service, you earn what are called “DooYooMiles”. You also earn additional points every time your reviews is read by other people. They also give prizes every month to the best product reviews of the month.
I just started researching this to try out, I have never done this before. My question is I already have an Amazon prime account. Does this mean I have to use the email attached to prime account, or can I start a new email, like you suggested to have a dedicated email, for this review endeavor? Please let me know how I should do this. I rather open up a new email account so it’s separate from the one I use for my kids school, doctors, and personal things. Thank you in advance for your help.
